Fill with a gradient color
A gradient color is a smooth color transition between at least two colors.
The Gradient tool is used for coloring an image simply by dragging a cursor. After every dragging, a new gradient will be applied to a layer.
To use the Gradient tool, go through the following steps:
- Select or create a layer.
- Select an area on a layer. Otherwise, a gradient will fill the entire layer.
- Activate the Gradient tool.
- Chose a gradient type on the settings panel.
- Chose one of the following gradient styles: Linear, Radial, Angular, Reflected, or Diamond.
- To obtain a linear gradient, drag the cursor from one side of a selected area to the other. To obtain any other type of a gradient, drag the cursor from the center of a selected area to its side.
