PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.5 Adds Audio Editing, HD and Interface Refinements

WnSoft announces the release and immediate availability of PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.5, an update to its product for self-contained slideshows with photos and music. The new version adds more extensive audio editing and manipulation support, animated GIFs, interface improvements and video output options (1080p uploads to YouTube, as well as iPad and iPhone 4 support).

No-hassle audio editing + sharing on HD and mobile devices

WnSoft has announced PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.5, its tool for creating rich slideshows as applications for PC and Mac, screensavers, HD videos, DVDs and iPad videos. PicturesToExe Deluxe users, as before, can customize each slide, now complementing gorgeous animations and transitions, including 3D and smooth pan/zoom/rotate effects, with precision audio tools.

The new version adds support for crossfading between audio clips, multi-tracks, lossless fade and timing tools, and more for audio perfectionists. Time offsets, start times and simultaneous playback allow planning soundtracks down to the second without losing quality due to processing.

PicturesToExe Deluxe does not lose any visual quality either, even at such high resolutions as 1920x1080, and the new version makes it easy to share this high quality with others. H.264 video uploaded to YouTube is now in 1080p format (increased from 780p), offering even more detail. Another highly requested feature was output for display on the latest iPad and iPhone 4 from Apple - and the developers delivered HD quality for these users as well. Users without HD devices can still take advantage of other new features, such as the new version's support for animated GIFs (and even PNGs and JPEGs).

Interface improvements: blank slides, 3D handling
Also on the agenda were small improvements to the interface and timeline for designing photo slideshows. New objects are now automatically named, and the object tree now uses icons for display. A new "Insert Blank Slide" command has been added to the main menu, and adjustments to 3D objects in the new version require fewer clicks. The list of slides now displays the slide's names, which may or may not coincide with the names of the underlying files (which were displayed previously); the "Go to Slide..." feature has been improved to make use of these names as well. New keyboard shortcuts and a separate recent folder list for each project round out the list for an update that's sure to prove popular with PicturesToExe users.

"When you're sharing memories with friends and relatives, beautiful slideshows are a sure way to impress," said Olga Suslova, WnSoft's marketing manager. "Saving slideshows as separate applications means that no matter their computer, friends and family can enjoy a slideshow's music, animation, commentary and visual effects exactly the way they were meant to be seen. PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.5 is the complete solution with the tools to create such great-looking slideshows right away and with no learning curve."
